Born and raised in Winner, SD, I spent several years serving as a medic and flight medic in the U.S. Army. I have always been drawn to work with women and children, and after giving birth to my first child, I began shifting my focus to Maternal Child Health. After becoming a certified lactation counselor, I trained as a labor doula. I worked as a doula for West Georgia Doulas, before my husband and I made the decision to move back to my home town with our two children. I could not have been happier to return to the small town life, but I wanted to continue to support families in pregnancy and childbirth. We recently welcomed our third child, and the care I received from the local clinic and hospital was exceptional. I feel honored to have the opportunity to provide childbirth education, labor and postpartum doula support, as well as breastfeeding and babywearing consults to the families in our area. I love witnessing the strength and grace of mothers during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum months, and I thank you for considering us during such a special time in your life!
